There's officially 4 cases of h1n1 in Singapore. Although within 1 day it increased from 1 to 4, I strongly believe that singapore has made the necessary precautions and that the government will handle the situation with much expertise, especially so because the health officials have been through the SARS period and learnt much from it.

I'm glad. Really thankful for it! :)

I'm so relieved that it's going smoothly. THANKFUL!

I'm now sitting comfortably at starbucks in simei. Whiling away my time while sipping on Chai Tea Latte and feasting on my cheese bagel with cream cheese. What great lifestyle! :) Feels good.

Anyway, there's news of the 1st confirmed case of h1n1 flu here in singapore already. I hope there's no human transmission like that in japan. But having said that, I really have to applaud japan for their responsible actions. The methods which they took to curb further spreading is really excellent.

Still waiting intently for the replies from the companies which I sent email to. I went for my dental appointment today and my orthodontist agreed with me that it's kind of difficult to get a decent job in this kind of economic environment right now. Oh man, all I can do is send emails asking and try to apply for some alternative jobs. Kind of hard.

The past week saw me starting on my chinese novels and non fiction books again. Haha:) I like reading. Though I don't really fancy reading fiction stories unless it's english literature kind. hmm.
I feel that I need to start on my ballet again. really. SDT! Please add more classes in weekday mornings or afternoons. PLEASEEEE!

It's such a tiring process. I mean the applying to ub process. I just got an email from the programme executive today and she highlighted that I need to submit transcripts for my uol first year. I mean, she works in sim, she should at least roughly know that uol only has 1 exam and of course results aren't out yet since the exams are just over. Oh my gosh. I'm worried you know. Seriously. Because I really want to change course. No matter what. I hope it's solved by tomorrow. I replied her through emai already, explaining to her like how the uol business programme executive explained. Hope everything goes really smoothly. I'll do anything to change it successfully. Hmm, the admission criteria for that is Olevels so I hope everything really goes smoothly. I don't care whether there's transfer credits for my first year or not, I need to change course. I'm serious. I tried calling her but she had ended work for the day. Tomorrow. Must settle everything tomorrow and I have dental tmr. Please don't call me during my dental appointment. Worried is really the right word to use. Please do it for me!

Okay, sorry for the ramblings.

I met up with qingyue and mingxi yesterday to chill at starbucks. We kind of had a great time talking though we were all kind of tired after that. After which, we went to the library to get books. Yes books. I like to read. Anyway, when we were at jp, we saw mark lee:) But he looked kind of upset and I found out just now when I read his blog that he lost his phone with hundreds of photo memories and all inside. Oh man. I hope whoever picks it up returns it. Then towards the evening I went for something meaningful:) Stayed till rather late but because it's near my house, I could get home in roughly 5 to 10 mins.

Today went to trim my fringe again. After such a long time. *faints* Months. And I'm accompanying mingxi there tomorrow in the morning then have to rush to town to meet desiree and maybe sienmae. It's been long.

I hope my friends are free on weekdays. I can't meet on weekends! Hmmm. please don't ask me out on weekends. sorry!

Well, here I am again posting up several pictures of the items from magazines which caught my eye. :)

Here's a style tip from a particular magazine.
Pick no more than 1 bold accessory per outfit. For example, a bold necklace or a bold bracelet but not both.

This heels is really pretty! Oh gosh! I love the brand. It's from DIOR!

Bangles are from DIVA. (price not available)

Belt from CHANEL:) GORGEOUS! I REALLY WANT IT!!! :)

Belt from HERMES. really really nice! I WANT IT!

Ok, this is a photo at the airport which I randomly took.

I don't think there's much to blog about for now. Nothing really happening in my life or anything.
No nice tv programmes today because it's a sunday. And nothing much on radio either. I'm kind of bored.
Maybe I'm going to read TIMES magazine.
Please let me get that internship or job. Whatever there is I'll take it so long it's media related and one of the companies I emailed. Although the economy is down, I believe my resume is still positive enough to get me at least 1 or else more jobs or internships. I'm not bragging but I believe in myself. But I must say, 2 of the companies i emailed, according to my knowledge, are cutting down costs and such...which isn't a good sign.
Thinking if I should go tomorrow. I feel I should. sigh. how how how? I bet my parents will nag me again. ROAR. Can't stand constant naggings. Nag again and I'll burst!

Anyway, I realised I can't apply for rmit. TSKTSK stupid sim staff refused to let me, saying that you must have a full diploma to apply for that. WAHH I STARED AT HER LIKE SHE'S SOME WEIRD CREATURE! whatever.
Decided to apply for buffalo's communications instead. Oh, just as well la i guess, since I know of others who are or may be applying for buffalo's comm too. It's not bad just that the fees is kind of exorbitant.
And I wonder when the UOL results will be out. Someone please enlighten me!

Going out for shopping later with cousins! :D:D:D

This is my favourite variety show!
NU WANG BEN SE aka PARIS AND MILAN!

Snapped some photos from the tv and decided to post them online. They're such a cute bunch of hosts!
The photos are blurry. Sorry!

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Ok on second thought, I think I'll post some photos up now since the photo uploading from my phone is lightning quick!
These are the items that caught my eyes while flipping through magazines. Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not buying all but they're nice to own though. I decided I shall post as many photos of items that I want or have bought on my blog in future. Haha

Hi blog readers, just some nice recommendations.

Bag from Toscano (price unavailable)

Bag from Kate Spade (price unavailable)

Wallets from Kate Spade ($410 for the purple & $410 for the light green)
Dior Le Trente tote (about $1000 plus)
Finally! Exams are finally over! I feel so ELATED! Yes, elated is such a subtle word to use! I feel like jumping around with no care at all in the world! Oh man! Finally the long awaited break! And what's more, I'm going to transfer to a mass communications degree soon soon soon! I feel like screaming with joy! :D:D:D

I'm kind of lazy to upload all the photos I have in both my camera and phone right now and so, I just uploaded 1 photo. Haha!
Guess what? That's a photo taken while I was rewatching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that day admidst my papers. I needed to relax and channel 5 happened to broadcast the show on tv and so I watched although I watched it in the cinema quite some time ago. It's a super touching show! Really!
Okay now I need to get down to the application forms for rmit and buffalo. I WANT RMIT MASS COMM! :)
More photos later when I return!
I went to Tampines 1 after the ibm paper just now! With Amy and Alicia. Cool place but not as many shops as jurong point. I'm going back there possibly tomorrow or one of the days next week to get Uniqlo stuff and try out Jeff Wang's stall:)

I feel so deprived of music this couple of days. Grr. The last paper is this coming thursday and it's sapping away energy from me. Despite finding IBM somehow interesting in a way, it still is tough and driving me up the wall. And weekend radio is rather boring. Boo. And it's filled with the noisy songs. Boo. Haven't danced in a long while. Boo. And I'm in need of hagen daaz ice cream. Boo. Okay, switch to symphony 92.4. yay.
Okay I have too many wants to satisfy. Nevermind. 4 more days of torment.
I can't wait for weekday nights' radio programmes. Oh man! Monday hurry come! That's tomorrow actually.
Hmm.
I think I'll go find a full time job after exams. Seriously.
I'm raving mad now because I'm bored. Boredom drives one into desperation. Well, at least for me.
I need to shop!
AAAHHH!

I can't wait to switch course!

Today's econs went reasonably well in my opinion. Okay, I won't say that I'll definitely do well but but definitely a prim and proper pass. Today morning's revision at the airport was a good move.
I'm left with one paper and that's intro to business and management.
Hmm. Alicia is considering switching to rmit too. :) hello alicia, I know you're reading this. Haha, it's really good that we both know now what we are really interested in and don't need to waste more time and money having to face the possibility of retaking. I'm just relieved that I made the courageous choice to voice it out to my parents and they really agreed willingly.
YAY! :D

Flip to URBAN in the straits times today. Read the part about hairstylists.
I totally agree with the articles that a good hairstylist is important.
And one whom understands you and your hair is important too.
I'm happy that I'm in touch with a group of really talented yet humble hairstylists and they all do a great job out of their clients' hair.
If you do not have a proper hairstylist already, do try out a haircut at any monsoon group salons. Wahh, free advertisement for monsoon. HAHA! But I really do trust all the hairstylists there. Not to mention, they have nail services at one of the outlets too! :):) Omg, I haven't gone there for months. Okay, not because I am biased but because I used to have a head of horrendous looking hair. Just ask those whom knew me before I rebonded and cut at monsoon. It was totally in a mess. Yes, MESS is the right word. And i used to visit a neighbourhood salon that my mum goes to and they're not even trained.
Although it may be more expensive than some other hair salons, it's worth at least a try.

Now that I have some time on my hand to blog, this entry will be a longer one yes? Haha not too long though.
Thank you for even reading on till here. Actually there are photos on my phone that I want to share but I'm a little lazy to upload them. After exams, I promise.

I still need to save money that's one thing. I have a job "lobang" but thinking if I should go for it. Well.
There's simply too many things to spend on. So much so that I'll need to save like crazy just to spend it on the things I like. I need a full time job after my exams.

Applaud the Land Transport Authority! The circle line is coming soon. It'll be so convenient when it starts operation. Wonder if it'll be ready next month.

As I've mentioned before, I've been listening to yes93.3 recently and even till late in the nights on weekdays. I've been curbing my emotional self for so long such that it's becoming abnormal. I mean, I'm a rather emotional person who cries and laughs easily. But I haven't been able to let my emotions flow normally for too long, until I started listening to ivy and chongqing's joke sessions and chongqing's ye ye ye on weekday nights. I'm serious. The joke sessions brought laughter that doesn't carry stress or subdued emotions. And the ye ye ye sessions when chongqing shared some of his life experiences when chatting with those who called in allowed me to make me myself once again. Once was about telling really personal problems and feelings to friends. I experienced what he experienced at some point. To repeat what he said, It's scary when what you said gets conveyed to others without your consent. And what's worse is when all these turn into twisted up gossips and rumours which isn't even the least bit true. Okay, enough of my ramblings which most of you wouldn't even understand.
I'm looking forward to something:) SMILES! :):)

GOOD DAY EVERYONE! HAVE A BLESSED DAY AHEAD OF YOU! :D

GRR! ROAR! 2 huge pimples the side of my forehead. It's maddening I swear. Not just because it's unsightly but because it's painful as well.
And yesterday my father was such an imp to irritate me to the maximum. I almost exploded like a volcano. Damn it! Please people, do no attempt to irritate me during any exam period especially, I'm emotionally weak and if you do, I might just explode. You wouldn't want to see that happen. Really.

But well, I cooled down and studied while staying up to listen to chongqing on the radio. :)
Really made me feel better. hmm. If only I can manage to call in which is almost impossible. Not impossible though. Nvm. attending a course in june. I have not told my parents yet. Oh no. It's at night you know. So, kind of problematic. They should change it to one in the day then I can skip the part about telling my parents I'm going for the course, which they most probably would nag because it ends at 10pm for that 5 days.
Hopefully I hear something about the other course then... haha.
Sorry I don't really want to divulge anything here.

I read a long dated blog post by chong qing. Totally agree with him. He talked about his good friend pat mok. Haha. Though I do not know her personally, I can feel that she is a true friend. Those whom you can pour your problems, bitch with, be sure that what you say won't be leaked out. Though many people describe her as a big mouth, which I really think it's a rude nickname to give others, I feel that she definitely is not. Hope I can get to know her personally one day. It'll be so fun! :)

Ok, I'm gone now. I need to study for tomorrow's econs exam.
On a side note, I think uni admissions are really weird. People with reasonably good results aren't even getting accepted. To the point where I heard a number of juniors whom I know were from good jcs and got reasonably good results face the prospect of retaking their alevels. Absurd.

Yes! I'm halfway through my exams. I don't know what to say but I sure hope my Accounting paper passes the minimum passing mark.
I got the blogging mood back so I decided to pop by here.
Anyway, I'm left with 2 papers so YIPPIE!

Anyway, just some updates to those friends who still read my blog. As you all know, I've been studying the university of london degree for the past year. I'm going to change to the RMIT degree in Mass Communications instead! Well, if they accept me. *clasps hands and prays hard* Haha though my friends and dad all said they'll definitely accept cos you know, _ _ _ is money minded.

Oh man, suddenly I'm reminded of the sentosa golf course! I want to go there to play golf! Grr.

Next week thurs is my last paper. YAY! I'm going mad thinking of all the wonderful things after this last exam. FREEDOM before I get a job and officially announce that I'm going back into workaholic lifestyle. Okay, actually even workaholic me will have to relax and spend some money doing the things I enjoy.

I haven't been exercising for so long! HELP i'm getting fat! Ok maybe a little exagerrated. But really, I need exercise, something which I haven't had the time for in the past few months. Only maybe a little stretch here and there but it's not enough. Look at my stomach and face. I feel so obese. Plus all the starbucks I've been having almost on a daily basis. omg, luckily i'm not in france or australia or for that matter in any western countries. Else I would be gorging on the macarons and chocolate like a deprived little girl everyday! Can you imagine?!?!

I'm actually still thinking which companies I should approach for a job. Magazines, news stations, esplanade? Maybe I should go back sentosa if all else doesn't come through. The animal handler one is quite attractive.
It's so hard to get one in the media industry in this economic crisis. Everyone's cutting costs.

Ok my laptop's battery is going flat soon! Better switch it off!

Anyway, one last thing. Nice slippers on pat mok's blog. If you can, go have a look!

Tomorrow's the official start of my exams. So I guess blogging will be put on a hiatus temporarily, though I believe I'll still be reading other people's blogs. I don't like putting a whole platon of unstable emotions here too much so that's why I don't want to blog during the exam period. hahahah.
Anyway, I wouldn't say I'm very prepared for the exams but I can say I've done my best and hope for the best.

At the same time, yes I know I should stop thinking of that for at least the time being. But how how how to forget?? It's making my shiver with nervousness.
I want that badly.
really.
PLEASE please please!

I wonder if I'll be able to get a short term job after my exams but i sure hope so. But for a few weeks after exams, I want to just moope around, hang out with friends, do the things I like, shop, eat, you know.
Then again, I don't think it's even easy for me to get a short term job in the media industry right now. Or journalism sector.

Anyway, I really love listening to yes 93.3 on weekday nights because there's chongqing on the live broadcast. Listening to his voice makes me comforted admidst all the tortuous stress especially during this period. I don't know exactly why but it's just like that. And he never fail to make me smile during his broadcast:)

Exams are in a matter of four days! Oh my god.
Okay, other than getting fidgety and such, I'm not going to panick because panicking doesn't do any good at all.
I can only study as best as I can and leave the rest to the examiners to decide right?
But really, accounting is sucking the soul out of me. I think I'm enjoying ibm now. But the other modules call for more attention. oops.

I'm really looking forward to holidays after the exams in 3 weeks time!
Money sucking holidays.
I'm going to:
shop
have manicures and pedicures
go for courses
meet up with friends
go beach
shop shop and more shopping
hair treatment maybe?

So hopefully I do get jobs during that period which will keep me so busy and keep the money rolling in so that the money input is more than the money output. haha! I'm serious ok.

And I'm still hoping something nice will happen.
Wishing upon that tiny little star up in the vast sky.

Happy May Day to all "labourers"!
Sounds rather funny. Seriously! LOL:D
I'm looking forward to the holidays after exams! WOOH!
I'm looking forward to the relaxation cum hustle bustle of work life though I haven't officially sourced for any jobs yet. Hehee. But really can't wait already! I'm studying as best as I can for now!
And I'm looking forward to the courses during that period.
I'm looking forward to helping out at the mps sessions.

And I'm considering on applying for the rmit university part time mass communications degree if I do have to stay at sim so that I'll be doing 2 degrees concurrently so that when I graduate it'll be easier for me to get into my dream industry. Hmm, I think my mum is supportive of that. I did mention about it briefly to her while watching the news just now.

Talking about news, the first case of swine flu in asia is confirmed. A Mexican traveller in Hong Kong. I sincerely pray for the ones who have contracted this deadly influenza. I hope they'll have a speedy recovery.

I'm trying to save money for the holidays after exams!
Swine Flu
It's really spreading so quick.
Singapore has changed to orange zone already. Means it's really bad. Though there haven't been cases here.
Just 2 random photos I took some time ago.
Hmm. ok the 2nd photo is kind of err. Well, I was just disgusted at seeing a cockroach in the jp toilet.
