I got this from Channel News Asia website :
CHENGDU, China: A strong aftershock jolted southwestern China on Sunday, killing at least one person and rattling residents still reeling from the massive earthquake two weeks ago that killed more than 62,500. The aftershock – the strongest to hit Sichuan province since the devastating May 12 quake – came as more foreign aid arrived in the disaster zone for the more than 5.4 million people left homeless by the tragedy. Relief workers raced to reach those in need as conditions for survivors living in makeshift camps looked set to worsen, with rain falling throughout the day and forecasters saying heavy downpours were possible by nightfall. State television quoted an earthquake relief official in the city of Guangyuan, north of the provincial capital Chengdu, as saying the aftershock caused at least one death and 262 injuries in that city.
"Houses started to shake and everybody went out into the street," Chengdu resident Lou Taiyi told AFP. "We were thinking (May 12) was behind us but it is continuing," he said.

I watched the charity show for the si chuan quake on channel 8 just now. It was super touching. Tears just flowed uncontrollably especially when I watched jteam's performance and xiang yun's performance and also when they showed some videos of the victims of the quake. The quake really caught China unprepared. I would think many a time, most of us take things we have and things around us for granted such that we do not prepare for the worst times. Who would have expected the serious quake in china and the disaster in myanmar? And who would have expected that these disasters would take such a great toll on the people, leaving both physical and emotional scars on the people in these countries. I really feel that some people's attitude towards life is just so strong that nothing can deter them from their undeniable will to live. Let's take the survivors in China as examples, I think their positive attitude really surpasses most people. From the videos I have seen, be it on tv or on the internet, some of them though stuck under the heavy rubble, still tell themselves that they must be strong and that they will continue to live. That being said, just look around us. Some people in times of difficulty (eg. studies, work, etc), they keep exclaiming that they're sure they're going to die. Anyways, I really want to applaud all the people, be it healthcare or the policeforce, who worked day and night to try to save the lives of so many and some in the process, dig up the lifeless bodies of their family members or friends. It touches my heart to see them putting their emotions aside and work in the first place despite many of them also lost their families and friends to the quake.

I have work tomorrow. 1A shift. early. so have to go get my beauty rest already. I'll probably upload the recent photos I have on wednesday.
